FAQ

The following are a few questions I've received in regard to the design process:

Q: How long will it take to make a complete site?
A: To make a complete site (meaning more than one page), will take at least a week if not more. First, the I will need to work with you on finding out what you want: colors, text, “the look”, etc. Every site is custom tailored to you, so that may or may not take a while. It all depends on communication! After the initial design, it then depends on the level of content you provide (and when) and what design changes you want to make before the final upload.

Q: What if I don’t have any content?
A: I can create a custom graphic or logo, modify a photo for you, and brainstorm with you on content, but ultimately it is up to you as far as the text you want to include. I can always put up an initial site, and add more content later.

Q: What if I don’t have time to update the site? What happens then?
A: I would be more than happy to maintain the site for you. Just send me the changes/updates you want via e-mail and it’ll go live as soon as possible. Maintenance work is billed in one hour minimums. But, if your budget is tight and you need something updated right away, just let me know! I’ll be happy to work with you!

Q: Who hosts the site? And where do I get a domain name?
A: I don’t host sites (as I use several for our clients), but can offer suggestions: aplus.com and gate.com are two sites known for hosting and domain registration. I can work with you on setting up your site on a host or you can provide it to me (I'll eventually need the FTP information). I do have a goal of owning a server and hosting sites hopefully soon!

Q: Okay, how much is this going to cost me?
A: I strive to provide quality service at a reasonable price and with as much flexibility as possible for the client. That means I work with you on what you can afford. See my services page for more information on pricing.
