The following are a few questions we have received in regard to the design process of WWD:

Q: How long will it take to make a complete site?
A: To make a complete site (meaning more than one page), will take at least a week if not more. First, the designer will need to work with you on finding out what you want: colors, text, “the look”, etc. Every site is custom tailored to you, so that may or may not take a while. It all depends on communication! After the initial design, it then depends on the level of content you provide (and when) and what design changes you want to make before the final upload.

Q: What if I don’t have any content?
A: WWD can create a custom graphic or logo, modify a photo for you, and brainstorm with you on content, but ultimately it is up to as far as the text you want to include. WWD can always put up an initial site, and add more content later.

Q: What if I don’t have time to update the site? What happens then?
A: WWD would be more than happy to maintain the site for you. Just send the designer the changes/updates you want via e-mail and it’ll go live as soon as possible. Maintenance work is billed at a one hour minimum, meaning if it only takes 15 minutes to do something, the invoice will show one-hour. Hey, a web designer has to eat, too! But, if your budget is tight and you need something updated right away, just let the designer know! We’ll be happy to work with you!

Q: Who hosts the site? And where do I get a domain name?
A: WWD doesn’t host sites (as we use winsave.com), but can offer suggestions: godaddy.com and winsave.com are two sites known for hosting and domain registration. WWD can work with you on setting up your site on a host or you can provide it to us (we will eventually need the FTP information). WWD does have a goal of owning a server and hosting sites hopefully soon!

Q: Okay, how much is this going to cost me?
A: WWD strives to provide quality service at a reasonable price and with as much flexibility as possible for the client. That means we work with you on what you can afford. See our services page for more information on pricing.
